Many of you have asked how you can help as we prepare and wait to bring our baby home. Well, we have exciting news for you today! Our good friends from A Carpenter's Son Design Co are helping us raise funds for our adoption. All proceeds from their state-shaped serving boards and Ohio t-shirts go straight to our adoption fees! The estimated cost of our adoption is $35,000, so we are hoping this fundraiser will make a huge dent in that overwhelming figure. It will also be a great way to help raise awareness about adoption - whenever someone is asked about their awesome t-shirt or serving board, they will get a chance to share our story of healing and love.
That's where you come in! Check out A Carpenter's Son's online shop and purchase a quality, handmade serving board in the shape of your favorite state or a soft, comfy Ohio t-shirt. The serving boards also make super cool wall hangings or decorative pieces. All of the items make great gifts - you can get your birthday and Christmas shopping for the year done all at once and be way ahead of the game!
Another huge way you can help is by spreading the word about this fundraiser. These are high-quality items that many people will want to purchase, especially because it goes to a good cause. If you are on Facebook, please share our album, "Wright Adoption Fundraiser". It is a public album, so you should be able to find it on either of our profiles, even if you aren't "friends" with us. You will get the most traffic on your share if you: make it your own post by typing up a sentence or two, tag yourself in some of the photos, and tag David and Kelly in your post. You can also share individual photos in a similar way. Also, the more you "like" and comment on our photos, the more they will show up in people's news feeds. So please take a few minutes to like and comment on all of them! If you want to share on Instagram, feel free to use the Repost app to repost our pictures (or just screenshot and crop them). Tag @thisloveadoption and @a_carpenters_son in your post. Check out our recent posts for information on a t-shirt giveaway that you can easily enter through Sunday evening! And of course, nothing is better than word of mouth. Use it as an opportunity to share our story with others - hopefully it will be an encouragement to them! Send an email to some of your friends, or share this blog post with them. Basically, just spread the word any way that you can! Feel free to share the pictures from the album above.

The names of everyone who donates to this fund will be included as a leaf on our child's "Family Tree", a drawing that will hang in our child's room to remind them of how loved they are and how many people sacrificed so that they could join our family.
