5/11/16 Adoption Update

Over the next couple of weeks, we are going to be posting quick updates. Please don't share these posts publicly, they are just meant to keep our loved ones and prayer warriors in the loop with what is sure to be an intense time.

Two weeks ago, our agency introduced us to a birth mom. She lives in North Carolina, so we have only been able to communicate with her over texting and talking on the phone. She is expecting a little girl who is due on May 18th. She is a sweet and beautiful woman and we are very happy to be working with her. She is not legally able to officially decide anything until after the birth. We are absolutely honored to walk through this incredibly difficult time with her and to support her however we can.

Kelly, her friend Lauryn, and Lauryn's daughter are driving to North Carolina tomorrow (Thursday) and will be staying with some of Kelly's family in the area. Birth mom and Kelly are planning to have lunch on Friday. It will be so good to meet her in person! David is staying home to continue working until birth mom goes into labor.

Prayer points:

- Peace in birth mom's heart

- Health of birth mom and baby

- Safe travels

- Kelly and David being apart during this intense time will be difficult
