5/21/16 Update

Today's update is a sad one.

We knew there were major health concerns for the baby, but the other day we found out that she passed away. We've been very open about our journey but we are not going to be sharing the details about this part of the journey out of respect to the birth mom. Please pray for her as she grieves the loss of her daughter. As for us, we were sent into this situation on God's errand to love with His love, so we had nothing to lose, whereas the birth mom had everything to lose. We are getting counseling with our agency & our pastor, so don't worry, we are talking about it, just privately right now. The quote by Corrie ten Boom in the picture above was sent to me by a friend on the day we found out. Although she had no idea what was going on when she sent it, I thought it was really fitting. We know God used us during this time and there is no place I'd rather be than walking in faith in His will.

Thank you for your prayers and all of the support. We've truly been feeling supernatural peace & deep joy in Christ, even in the chaos of the past week or so. I'm home now with David and feeling very grateful for our beautiful life together.
